Egypt came through their group undefeated, beating New Zealand and drawing with Belgium and Iran, with the winners expected to face Argentina in the last 16.

Morocco come into this match on the back of a penalty shootout victory over the Netherlands, secured thanks to a late equaliser from Fulham defender Issa Diop

All the action from the rugby union match at Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes in Cordoba. Argentina have won three of the five meetings between the teams this decade, including the most recent contest, which saw them prevail 33-24 at Murrayfield last November. Scotland were 14-0 up at half-time on that occasion and extended that lead to 21-0 in the second half, but the Pumas fought back to claim a famous comeback victory.

Home favourite Lando Norris took the chequered flag here last year for McLaren, with his teammate Oscar Piastri finishing second and Sauber's Nico Hülkenberg claiming his maiden podium in third. Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton will be looking to extend his record of most wins at this Grand Prix having already won nine races here between 2008 and 2024.

Coverage of the third round-of-16 match, which takes place at New York/New Jersey Stadium in the USA. Brazil came from behind to beat Japan 2-1 in injury-time, having trailed at the break, with goals by Casemiro and Gabriel Martinelli breaking Japanese hearts. Despite not quite reaching their peak yet, Brazil will start as favourites here as they look to move a step closer towards a first World Cup triumph since 2002. Norway had Erling Braut Haaland to thank for a late winner in their last-32 match against Ivory Coast, after Amad Diallo's stunning goal had seemed enough to take the game into extra time.

Coverage of the fourth round-of-16 match, which takes place at Mexico City Stadium. England claimed a 3-0 win over Senegal in the corresponding match of the 2022 World Cup thanks to goals by Jordan Henderson, Bukayo Saka and Harry Kane. Should they have defeated DR Congo in the round of 32, the Three Lions will be involved in this contest once again, with Mexico their opponents. The co-hosts beat Ecuador 2-0 in the last round thanks to first-half goals from Julian Quinones and Raul Jimenez. Facing the Mexicans at this venue would be a particularly tough test as they have an excellent record here over the years.

Coverage of the sixth round-of-16 match, which takes place at Seattle Stadium in the USA. The USA have made the most of home advantage and have made serene progress through to this stage, including a 2-0 win against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the last round. They will fancy their chances against a Belgian side who have looked a shadow of their former selves, but who pulled off a remarkable win against Senegal in the last 32, having been 2-0 down heading into the final minutes.
